Purchase a Historic Tree Print

Most photographs from the Historic Trees Project website are available for purchase as original prints which are made to order.

The original film, usually 4x5 inch transparency, is drum-scanned to a high resolution digital file. A computer is then used to perform the creative tasks normally done in the darkroom. Prints consist of Epson archival inks on heavy, all-cotton fine art paper using an Epson 9500 printer (such prints are often referred to as Giclée prints). Each print is then sprayed with a matte acrylic coating which encapsulates both ink particles and paper against pollutants. These prints have an estimated longevity in excess of 200 years.
